This has been quite a year full of stress and uncertainty and we all need to take care of ourselves both physically and mentally so that the stress doesn’t get the best of us. Art is one of the simplest and most enjoyable ways to destress the mind.
The great news is that we are are creative beings and simple forms of creative expression can make a tremendous difference in keeping your mind healthy.
Doodling
When you are at the end of a stressful day, you may want to click on the television and pour a glass of wine. I definitely am known to do that and tend to enjoy the background noise of the television. Before turning on the television, take some time to doodle and just let images form on your paper or journal.
